Educational Opportunity Program
When EOP was in place at Cal Poly Pomona, there were two separate units, one for Latino students and the other for African American students. Additionally, during this time, Asian and Native American students were integrated into one of these two programs (Chicano EOP or Black EOP) to receive services.

Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) is an alternative admissions program designed for students who are economically and educationally disadvantaged, yet display the desire and potential to succeed in higher education. Only California residents are eligible for the program.
Gear Up – Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Program
GEAR UP works in partnership with educational and community institutions to provide students and families with one-on-one and group advising, academic and tutoring support, college and career exploration opportunities, skill-building workshops, enrichment programs college visits, and educational field trips.

Male Success Alliance (MSA)
The mission of MSA is to improve access, retention, and graduation rates of boys and men of color by providing academic support, professional development, and mentoring. The program aims to support the college and career success of boys and men of color by utilizing a holistic approach to promote brotherhood and community through cultural awareness and identity development.
